Toei Animation Studios announced the winners of the “100-Year Anime Project” contest. The name of the project originates from its objective, to create an anime “that will last for the next hundred years”. The contest allowed participants to upload proposals for an anime idea in four different "divisions".
The first division (Division A) was aimed at those who had no experience working in manga or anime, while the second (Division B) was for those with experience working in the industry, and could submit proposals that would go into production quickly. . The third division (Division C) looked for proposals for the remake of the Ikkyuu-san series, however, Toei Animation did not present any winner. Finally, the fourth division (Division D), was aimed at experienced animators, stage artists, and propaganda designers to participate in current series, however, Toei Animation has not revealed any winner.
Each division has a winner, finalists and honorable mentions for each of the proposals. The winners receive a prize of one million yen ($ 9,200), 500,000 yen ($ 4,600), and 300,000 yen ($ 2,700).

- Grand Prize: Division B, "Donguri Tsuushin Rescue-tai Tanjou: Tenba Tenkuu wo Kakete Ike", written by Masahiro Ohshima.
- Special Prize: Division A, "Pygmalion no Orange", written by Reiji Shinmaru.
- Excellence Award: Division A, "Paint the Earth", written by Shiyo Nieda.
- Excellence Award: Division A, "Ride on Lion", written by Ryuunosuke Furoya.
- Excellence Award: "Ame Datte Saisai", written by Ryuuichi Amane.
- Honorable Mention: "Meteor Gatherer", written by Hiroshi Shinya.
- Honorable Mention: "Kurage no Hone", written by Kumiko Motoyama.
