TV Tokyo announced that the new anime of the Pokémon animated franchise will premiere on April 14 in Japan. The show will air every Friday at 6:55 p.m. (Japan time). Let's remember that this will be the new main series of the franchise, which will finally leave the protagonist Ash Ketchum to make way for two new protagonists.
The Pokémon Company reported in its press release that the anime will premiere in 2023 and will air "hereinafter", implying that it will be long-running like all its predecessors . Additionally, the series will feature Sprigatito , Fuecoco , and Quaxly from the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet video games , and will include the Legendary Rayquaza in his Shiny Version.
The production also revealed a new visual for the lead Liko, whom it describes as "a girl with a mysterious pendant."
On the other hand, Pokémon Journeys: The Series premiered on TV Tokyo and other affiliates in Japan under the title of Pocket Monster in November 2019, followed by Pocket Monster Mezase Pokémon Master , an eleven-episode special that began airing on the 13th. January in Japan, serving as the latest adventure for Ash Ketchum and Pikachu .
Pokemon General Synopsis
Pokémon is set in a fictional universe with numerous regions that have appeared in the various media of the franchise. There are 9 main series regions set in the main series games: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh/Hisui, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea. Each of the nine generations of the main series installments focuses on a new region, with each region consisting of various cities and towns that the player must explore in order to overcome numerous waiting challenges such as gyms, contests, and teams of villains.
At the various locations in each region, the player can find different types of Pokémon, as well as useful items and characters. The different regions are not accessible to each other within the same game, with the exception of Kanto and Johto, which are united in the Pokémon Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold and SoulSilver versions. There are also regions set in derivative games and two islands in the Pokémon anime (Orange Islands and Decolore Islands), all within the same fictional universe.
