- On the left, Wien Margarete , who already appeared in the second season of the anime as a rival figure to Liella! and that he ended up transferring to Yuigaoka Academy at the end of the season. Originally from Austria, she is known for being a vocal prodigy and having a gift for musical sensibility.
- On the right, Tomari Onitsuka , sister of another of the Liella! members, Natsumi Onitsuka . While Natsumi pursues every opportunity to make money, Tomari is ruthlessly practical, putting efficiency and optimization of time and effort above all else. She is curious about the school-idol activities that Natsumi is obsessed with lately.
It was also announced that, given the number of members in the group, Liella! it will now also be organized into a series of sub-units, just like all previous groups in the franchise. The first unit will be made up of Kanon, Sumire and Mei . The second by Keke, Ren and Wien . The third for Chisato, Kinako, Shiki, Natsumi, and Tomari . As always, the project is conducting polls for fans to decide on the names of the sub-units.
The first season of the anime premiered in Summer-2021 (July-September) and had a total of twelve episodes, followed by a second season that premiered in Summer-2022 (July-September) . This new project was announced in January 2020 during the “ Love Live! Fest ”.
Synopsis of Love Live! Superstar!!
Everyone has a dream they want to achieve, and the same goes for Kanon Shibuya, who is musically talented. However, due to her stage fright, Kanon fails to get into Yuigaoka Girls' High School's music program and, instead of her, she ends up in the general curriculum. Although Kanon makes a conscious decision to give up music altogether, her classmate Tang Keke reignites Kanon's passion for music with her own: her passion for school idols. Although Keke and Kanon try to form a school idol group, her effort meets strong objections from Ren Hazuki, the daughter of the school principal.
Even so, the girls soon visit the director, who allows them to create their school idol club on one condition: they must win first place at the Yoyogi School Idol Festival. The stamina of these aspiring idols is put to the test as they face the challenges that come their way. Throughout their journey, the girls make new friends and meet new members who join them in becoming the stunning idols others can only imagine.
