A new promotional video was revealed on the official website for the new anime adaptation of the manga written by Shou Makura and illustrated by Takeshi Okano , “ Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube .” The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for the Summer-2025 period (July-September) , and announces the voice cast and production team for the project.

For their part, Shou Makura and Takeshi Okano began publishing the manga through Shueisha 's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in August 1993, and ended it in May 1999 with a total of thirty-one compilation volumes. The anime adaptation produced by Toei Animation premiered in Spring 1996 (April-June) and had a total of 49 episodes. It was followed by three feature-length films and three OVAs.

Synopsis of Hell Teacher Nube

What seems like a normal day at Dōmori Elementary School is interrupted by some strange phenomenon, usually targeting one of Nube's own students. Nube is forced into action, most often using the power of the Demon's Hand to help solve the problem, but sometimes the solution lies either in one of his other spiritual weapons, or in reasoning with or otherwise appeasing the threatening entity.

In the end, things always seem to return to normal, and Nube and his students have learned something from the experience. For the most part, the series maintains an episodic formula, forgoing an overarching plot in favor of more character-driven action, though there are several recurring antagonists, as well as some longer story arcs toward the end of the series.
