Good news
for "Kaiju No. 8" fans! During a special event, it was
confirmed that the second season of the anime adaptation of the "Kaiju No.
8" manga will premiere in July 2025 in Japan. Additionally, we
previously discussed the compilation film and OVA starring Soshiro Hoshina,
which will be released in Japanese theaters next year. If you missed those

But that's
not all, there's more news! At the AnimeJapan 2025 event, a new teaser
trailer for the second season was presented. And for those hoping to
see the compilation film in other countries, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures
Entertainment have announced a special theatrical release in the United States
and Canada (and other countries to be announced) on April 13, 14, and 16, 2025. The
film will also hit 32 theaters in Japan starting March 28, and in both
versions: with English subtitles and dubbed in English.
Additionally,
the film will include an original episode titled "Hoshina's Day Off,"
which will feature the return of several members of the first season's
crew. The episode follows Reno, who discovers something strange on
Hoshina's day off and decides to follow it along with Iharu. So get
ready for more adventures in the world of Kaiju No. 8 while we eagerly await
the arrival of the second season.

manga by Naoya Matsumoto that launched on the Shonen Jump Plus service in
July 2020. The
first season of the anime premiered in April 2024 with 12 episodes,
