The
official website for the plays based on Gege Akutami 's Jujutsu
Kaisen manga has announced the premiere of a new production
titled Butai Jujutsu Kaisen -Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu- , which will
be presented in Tokyo in August and in Osaka in September .
This fourth
installment will focus on the Hidden Inventory and Untimely Death arc ,
narrating the events that occurred during the youth of Satoru Gojō and Suguru
Getō , when they were both still students and inseparable friends.
A
familiar cast for theater fans
Ryōsuke
Miura and Rei
Fujita return to play Satoru Gojō and Suguru Getō respectively,
reprising their roles from previous works. Kensaku Kobayashi also
returns as director, with Kōhei Kiyasu as screenwriter,
reaffirming the creative continuity that has characterized this franchise on
the stage.
The new
promotional visual shows both characters from behind, anticipating the drama
and tension of their shared history.
A
successful journey in the theatrical world
Since its
debut in July 2022 , Jujutsu Kaisen series have
explored various arcs from the manga. The second adapted
the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc and the Origin of
Obedience Arc , while the third brought the
prequel Jujutsu Kaisen 0 to the stage . All have
received positive reception from the Japanese public.
