This
Monday, the official X account for the RuriDragon manga ,
created by Masaoki Shindō , announced that the series will
enter a brief hiatus . According to what was published in the
25th digital edition of this year's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine
by Shueisha , the work is scheduled to resume publication
in July .
“The next publication is scheduled for July. We will announce the exact date later. Thank you for staying with us!” was the message shared by the editorial team, accompanied by a cropped image of the official announcement.
A path
full of pauses and returns
Since its
debut in June 2022 , RuriDragon has faced
several delays. In early July 2022 , the series went on two
consecutive hiatuses due to the author's sudden illness . An
indefinite hiatus was later announced at the end of that same month.
The manga
briefly returned to Weekly Shonen Jump before moving to the
magazine's digital version and Shonen Jump+ in April
2024. The manga currently publishes a new chapter every two
weeks .
A lazy
dragon who won the hearts of the public
Originally
published as a one-shot in December 2020 in Shonen
Jump GIGA magazine , RuriDragon debuted as a
series in Weekly Shonen Jump in June 2022 . Shueisha released
the first compiled book volume in October 2022 , and the third
volume hit stores on March 4 .
The story
revolves around a young dragon girl trying to live a normal
life while battling her lazy nature... or maybe not so lazy. Between comedic
and endearing moments, the series has managed to stand out as a fresh take on
the current shonen scene.
