The magic of anime and Japanese culture once again conquers the Bay of Cádiz. Manga World  II is preparing to open its doors on June 7 and 8 at the Bahía Sur shopping center in San Fernando, promising to surpass the success of its first edition, which drew more than 6,000 attendees. This year, the event consolidates its position as the must-see event for manga, anime, and video game lovers in southern Spain.

Dragon Ball Comes to Life with Its Original Voice Actors

One of the big surprises of this edition will be the presence of Dragon Ball's most iconic voice actors. Fans will be able to meet Pablo Domínguez, the unmistakable voice of Son Goku, in person, along with Bernabé Rico (Future Trunks), Rafa Torres (C16 and Sr. Popo), Gema Abad (C18 and Arale), and Fran Rodríguez (Cell).

These voice professionals will share their behind-the-scenes experience and relive some of the most epic moments from the series that shaped the childhoods of millions of fans. Their presence makes Manga World II a unique opportunity for fans of Akira Toriyama's work.

Nintendo Switch 2 arrives exclusively in Andalusia

Gamers are in luck. Manga World II will be one of the first events in Spain where the Nintendo Switch 2 can be tried out, just two days after its official launch. The gamer zone will include an exclusive Freeplay area with Mario Kart World, allowing visitors to be among the first to experience the new features of the Nintendo console.

Álvaro Rodríguez, a renowned video game localizer who has collaborated with leading developers in the sector, will be part of the program of activities, bringing his professional expertise to the event.

Cosplay, K-Pop, and Korean Culture Take Center Stage

Cosplay will take center stage with the participation of renowned Cadiz cosplayers such as Mitsuka, Akumu, Eris, Golden, Mikey, and Namicosp, who will bring beloved anime and manga characters to life. There will be separate contests for adults and children, encouraging the whole family to participate.

Korean culture also finds its place at the Andalucía K-Pop Dance Festival, where participants will dazzle with the elaborate choreography characteristic of this musical genre. The Seville Theater Club association will offer the show "Dame Chocoleito," performing songs by the Japanese group BabyMetal.

Unique Experiences and After-Party Until Dawn

Among the most exciting activities is the "choco contest," inspired by the popular series "Squid Game," where participants must complete five Korean children's games completely tied to their partners.

Star Wars fans are not forgotten, with photocalls, lightsaber courses, classes with Jedi masters, and Sith battles. The experience is rounded out by specialized tattoo artists such as 'Anag Tattoo' from Malaga and Pink Alien Tattoos, bringing the art of themed tattoos to visitors.

As a major new feature, this year the event will be extended with an After Party that will run from midnight to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, accompanied by anime music sessions from various DJs.

A long-standing event

Pablo Vivancos, manager of Bahía Sur, highlights the shopping center's commitment to "quality alternative leisure" and the importance of these synergies in offering unique offerings to all audiences.

The collaboration with specialized associations such as CEFYC (Korean pop culture), Onyxia (Asian culture), The Legacy of Force (Star Wars), and Mueve Ficha (board games) guarantees the quality and diversity of the content.

Manga World II is shaping up to be the premier event for Japanese culture in Andalusia, consolidating San Fernando as a must-see destination for otakus in southern Spain. Tickets are now available on the event's official website.
