Kodansha publishing house  published the 14th and final chapter of the #Aitora manga through its Magazine Pocket app last Tuesday, May 6 , thus concluding a story that combined comedy, genre changes, and a touch of science fiction.

Created by Nekoume , known for the romantic comedy Miss caretaker of Sunohara-sou , the manga launched in November 2023 and ended less than a year later with just two compiled volumes. The second volume was published in October 2024 .

An influencer, a transformation, and… aliens?

The plot follows Yamamoto Love Angel , a rising streamer who slowly gains popularity. In search of shocking content, she decides to visit a supposedly haunted site, but what she finds there changes her life completely: she wakes up transformed into a man .

At first, she's overcome with confusion and revulsion, but she soon discovers she's not the only victim of this phenomenon. One of her viewers has experienced the same thing, and together they begin to suspect that an alien race is behind it all.

Nekoume's unique style returns briefly

Nekoume is best known for his manga Miss Caretaker of Sunohara-sou , a four-panel comedy that began in 2014 and concluded in August 2022, after being cycled through several magazines due to publication closures. The series was even adapted into an anime series in July 2018 , which aired on Funimation .

With #Aitora , the author once again demonstrated his signature style: light comedy, absurd situations, and a touch of tenderness, although this time with a rather limited runtime. Despite its short runtime, the series left a curious impression on readers looking for a different take on contemporary manga
