The
official website for the anime series "Ninja vs.
Gokudo" ( Ninja to Gokudō ), based on the manga
by Shinsuke Kondō , announced on Friday, May 3, that
the series will debut in October 2025 on NTV in Japan.
Along with the news, the first promotional video and a new key visual were also
presented, highlighting the intensity of the confrontation between two
completely opposite worlds.
A lethal
confrontation between shadows and violence
The story
takes place in modern-day Tokyo, where an ancient war rages in the
shadows: ninjas and yakuza fight to impose
their dominance on the streets. This anime promises to be an explosive
combination of bloody action and crime drama, following two representatives of
these factions in their bloody struggle for supremacy.
Main
cast confirmed
The voice
cast is led by renowned actors:
- Chiaki Kobayashi as Shinoha Tanaka ,
a cold and lethal ninja whose presence upsets the balance between the
clans.
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Kiwami Kimura ,
a feared yakuza with a thirst for power who will not hesitate to fill
Tokyo with corpses if necessary.
- Sumire Uesaka will play Gamute ,
a mysterious figure who could change the course of the conflict.
A
production team with experience in intense action
The
animation is in charge of the Studio DEEN studio , under the
direction of Toshinori Watanabe , known for his work on Edens
Zero and Tokyo Ghoul:re . The script is supervised
by Keiichirō Ōchi , responsible for The Quintessential
Quintuplets , while the character design is in the hands of Tokuyuki
Matsutake , who has worked on projects such as Genocidal Organ and Dimension W.
About
the original manga
Kondō 's original work has been
published on Kodansha's Comic Days platform since January
2020. The 15th volume of the manga will be released in
Japan on May 14. Kodansha USA Publishing will publish
the seventh volume in English on May 13 .
The
publisher describes it as “a tough, masculine manga that follows the endless
war between ninjas and yakuza, flooding the sewers of Tokyo with blood as they
battle for which elemental force will rule the world.”
