A Couple of Cuckoos reveals trailer and release date for its second season

Kadokawa has revealed the new promotional trailer, a key visual and the official release date for the second season of the anime “ A Couple of Cuckoos ” ( Kakkō no Iinazuke ). The expected sequel will debut the Monday, July 8 at 5:00 p.m. ( Spain time ) through the Tokyo MX channel, and will be available in streaming in ABEMA and d Anime Store. It will also be issued later in BS NTVKBS Kyoto and Sun TV.


New songs, new studio and a new visual twist


The opening of this second season, titled “ Kimi ga Kureta mono ” (What you gave me), will be performed by the singer asmi, while the ending will be in charge of the group 7/22 with the theme “ Nakucha Anata ” (It can only be with you).


One of the most important changes is the new production teamMasakazu Hishida, known as “ Ensemble Stars! ” and “ King of Prism ”, take the direction in the Okuru to Noboru study, replacing Shinei Animation and Synergy SP. Further, Kyoko Chika will be the new character designer, and the script will be supervised by Jou Aoba, pseudonym of Hishida himself.



Crunchyroll will broadcast the series and prepare premiere at Anime Expo

The story continues: between family entanglements and forced romance


Based on the original manga of Miki Yoshikawa, published since 2020 in Weekly Shōnen Magazine, the series tells the life of Nagi Umino, a brilliant student who discovers that he was changed at birth. Things get complicated when their parents decide to resolve the mistake by arranging their marriage with Erika Amano, another young woman also a victim of the exchange.


The return of beloved voices and a new incorporation


The main cast of the first season returns in this new installment, with the addition of Hina Yomiya, who will give voice to the new character Ai Mochizuki. Among the technical team members who also return is Rei Ishizuka, musical composer, and Noriyoshi Konuma as sound director.
