Cardcaptor Sakura Movie 2: The Sealed Card, along with the short film Leave It to Kero-chan!, will return to Japanese theaters starting July 11 to mark its 25th anniversary. Contrary to what many expected, it is not a single function, but a multi-week event full of surprises for fans of this beloved magical series.

Weekly gifts for attendees

During the first week of screening, attendees will receive one of two B5-sized illustrations featuring exclusive art from CLAMP, the legendary group of creators behind the franchise. Starting July 18, they will be delivered with new art made by Hisashi Abe, the film's chief animation director.

In addition to the weekly giveaways, fans will be able to purchase exclusive merchandise such as t-shirts, accessories, and acrylic figures, all inspired by the magical and nostalgic aesthetic of the film. These items will be available only in participating movie theaters.

Special greeting from the leading voices

To make the re-release even more special, voice actresses Sakura Tange (voice of Sakura Kinomoto) and Motoko Kunai (voice of Syaoran Li) will perform a live salute on July 12 at Tokyo's Shinjuku Piccadilly cinema, a unique opportunity for the most loyal fans.

A classic that continues to conquer hearts

The re-release of Cardcaptor Sakura Movie 2: The Sealed Card will arrive in 56 theaters across Japan, offering fans a new opportunity to relive one of the most emotional stories in the Cardcaptor Sakura universe. The original film was released in 2000 and continues to be a pillar within the magical girl genre.

Currently, both the original Cardcaptor Sakura series and its sequel Clear Card are available on Crunchyroll. The story follows Sakura Kinomoto, a ten-year-old girl who accidentally releases some magic cards and must collect them while maintaining her normal student life. With the help of her friends, her family, and her courage, Sakura will learn what is most important in her life.
