The anime
adaptation of Yuji Iwahara ’s Clevatess -Majū no
Ō to Akago to Shikabane no Yūsha- manga released a new promotional
video on Tuesday that excited fans. The trailer not only showcases
previously unseen footage from the series, but also reveals the title tracks:
the opening theme “Ruler,” performed by Mayu Maeshima ,
and the ending theme “Destiny,” an international collaboration
featuring British star Ellie Goulding .
The
highlight is that Ellie Goulding composed the song especially for this
anime , marking a rare participation of international artists in
Japanese productions.
The
premiere will be on July 2 in Japan.
Clevatess will officially premiere
on July 2 at 8:30 PM (1:30 PM in Spain) through the AT-X
channel. That same day, the anime will also air on networks such as Tokyo
MX , Sun TV , BS NTV , Aichi
TV , among many others. The streaming platforms Anime Store , U-NEXT and Anime
Hōdai will also add it to their catalogs on the same day.
The
broadcast will continue on more than 20 additional channels between July
3 and 5 , covering virtually all of Japan.

A world
on the brink of extinction
The story
begins with Alice , a young woman who has dreamed of becoming
a hero since childhood. After being chosen by the king, she joins a group
of 13 legendary heroes charged with eliminating Clevatess ,
the lord of the magical beasts. However, what seemed like a heroic mission soon
becomes a global threat, when the actions of the heroes themselves could bring
about the end of humanity. The world's only hope lies with a baby
entrusted to Clevatess himself .
A high-caliber creative team
The anime
is being directed by Kiyotaka Taguchi ( SSSS.Dynazenon
) at Lay-duce studio . The script is by Keigo
Koyanagi ( The Rising of the Shield Hero ), character
designs are by Souichirou Sako ( Buddy Daddies ),
and music is by Nobuaki Nobusawa ( Steins;Gate 0 ).
The
original work was released in August 2020 on the LINE
Manga app . The manga has eight digital volumes , and
a new physical edition is being published by Kadokawa , with
the seventh volume going on sale on March 28, 2025 . With its
dark fantasy, moral dilemmas, and a talent-packed production, Clevatess is
shaping up to be one of the most intriguing releases of the summer.
