The Water Magician confirms premiere and arrives at Crunchyroll in July

The anime adaptation of the light novel series The Water Magician (Mizuzokusei no Mahōtsukai), written by Tadashi Kubō and illustrated by Nokito, confirmed his premiere for July 3 in Japan. The first episode will air at 1:28 a.m. July 4 ( local time ) on the channel TBS, which is equivalent to 6:28 p.m. on July 3 in Spain ( UTC + 2 ).



The series will also air on BS11 and platforms like d Anime Store from the 2:00 a.m. the same day. Further, Crunchyroll announced that it will broadcast the anime simultaneously in multiple regions, including Latin America, Europe, Africa, India and Oceania.


A magical journey with its own rhythm


The story follows Ryō, a young man who reincarnates in the fantastic world of Phi. Although he hopes for a quiet life learning water magic, he soon discovers that surviving in a monster-ridden wilderness is anything but relaxing. Fortunately, Ryō possesses the hidden trait of “ Eternal Youth ”, which allows you to face each challenge with intelligence and optimism.


After twenty years of training and fighting, Ryō reaches an unprecedented level of power. However, his true destiny only begins when an unexpected encounter throws him at the center of events that will change history forever. Thus begins the legend of most powerful water magician in the world, who also prefers to take life calmly.


In the musical section, the opening theme “ Blue Motion ” will be interpreted by Meiyo Densetsu, while the ending “ Tayutau Mamani ” will be in charge of Misaki.


Production and legacy of the work


The anime management is in charge of Hideyuki Satake (Delicious in DungeonDeca-Dence), under studies Typhoon Graphics and Wonderland. The scripts are written by Jun Kumagai, known for his work in Aquarion Logos, while character design is in the hands of Yūka Kozutsumi.


The original work began publication on the site Shōsetsuka or Narō in April 2020. Since March 2021, the publisher TO Books publishes the printed version. The story also features two manga adaptations: one main illustrated by Bokutengō for the site Comic Corona, and another addressed to children under the seal TO Junior Bunko.


With a charming premise and an unusual protagonist, The Water Magician is outlined as one of the most anticipated series of summer 2024.
