REMOW has
revealed a new promotional video, an official poster, as well as more cast
members for the highly anticipated anime based on Yura Urushibara's Tougen
Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise manga. In addition, the platforms where
it can be seen outside Japan have been announced.
Extended
cast and complementary mini-series
Among the
new cast members are Daisuke Kishio as Tsubakiri
Momomiya, Mariya Ise as Yomogi Momokusa, Tsuyoshi
Koyama as Tsuyoshi Ichinose, Yasunori Masutani as
Samidare Momoya, and Megumi Ogata as the school's principal.
In addition, the anime will feature a complementary miniseries called Onimomomomo,
whose episodes will be released weekly along with the main chapters.
Wide
availability on streaming platforms
The anime
will be available internationally on platforms such as Crunchyroll,
Netflix, Prime Video, Samsung TV Plus, Anime Onegai, ADN, among many
others. Specifically, Prime Video will offer the series
worldwide except Japan and mainland China, while Netflix will
stream it globally outside of Japan.
Production
and main cast details
The
premiere is scheduled for July 11. The main cast includes Kazuki
Ura as Shiki Ichinose, Hiroshi Kamiya as Naito
Mudano, and Kōtarō Nishiyama as Jin Kougasaki, among others.
The direction is in charge of Ato Nonaka at the Hibari studio,
with scripts supervised by Yukie Sugawara. In the musical
part, THE ORAL CIGARETTES will perform the opening "Overnight" and BAND-MAID the
ending "What is justice?".
The story
revolves around Shiki Ichinose, who discovers that he
possesses Oni blood after an unexpected attack by Momotaro.
This discovery leads him to face his destiny and the demons that dwell within
him. The manga began publication in June 2020 in the Weekly Shōnen
Champion magazine and already has 23 compiled volumes. In addition,
the play inspired two plays in Tokyo and Osaka in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
