The
publisher Shogakukan announced through its Manga ONE platform
the launch of a new manga entitled "Hatsukoi Geinin" (title
translated as "First Love of a Comedian"), created by Jin
Mocoyama and based on an original story by Takeshi Nakazawa,
known for his work on "Kimoiman". The series will debut on August
8, adapted to the Spanish time (UTC+2).
This new
work will focus on the story of a comedian in decline, without any love
experience, who becomes involved in a peculiar relationship with the
mysterious Ichikawa. With a premise full of tenderness and humor,
it is anticipated as a fresh proposal within the current catalog of romantic
manga.
A career marked by comedy and charm
Mocoyama is
known for having released the manga "Nemu-chan no Sei de
Nemurenai!" (I Can't Sleep Because of Nemu-chan!) in Kadokawa's Comic
Cune magazine in January 2023. In addition, in August
2021 she premiered "Kawaii Kara Giri Yuruseru" (I'm
so beautiful that everything is forgiven me!) on the Ura Sunday website,
also from Shogakukan.
This last
work had three compilation volumes, the first published in March
2022 and the final volume released in November of the same
year. Thanks to its success, the series was licensed by Comikey,
which distributed it digitally in English.
With the
release of Hatsukoi Geinin, Jin Mocoyama continues to build a
career that mixes humor, romance and endearing characters that easily connect
with the reader. We will have to keep an eye on this new chapter in his
creative career.
