On July
30, the final chapter of the manga Kindergarten WARS -LUKE-, a
spin-off of the original work Kindergarten WARS, created
by Yu Chiba, was published. This side story, centered on the
character Luke, offered readers a 180-page plot that explored his
background in depth.
In the
meantime, fans of the main series can be in luck, as Kindergarten WARS will
resume publication on August 14. The last chapter of the original
story had been published on June 19, followed by a short story
released on June 26.
Story
that mixes action, comedy and romance
The story
of Kindergarten WARS revolves around Rita, also
known as Convict 999, a former elite assassin who now works as a
caretaker in a very particular kindergarten: the place where the children of
world leaders study. Her mission is to protect children from constant external
threats, but she has a great weakness: attractive men, which puts
her in situations as dangerous as they are comical.
The manga
is published digitally on Shueisha's MANGA Plus platform,
while Yen Press released the first physical volume in April
2025.
The
Kindergarten WARS Journey
Yu Chiba
launched Kindergarten WARS in September 2022 through
Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app and website. To date, the
publisher has compiled 15 volumes of the manga, the most
recent published last Monday, July 29.
The spin-off
Kindergarten WARS -LUKE- began serialization in November 2024,
and with its closure, everything seems to be ready for fans to dive back into
the main plot of this peculiar and explosive kindergarten.
