In the
run-up to episode 18 of the Summer Pockets anime,
scheduled for Monday, August 5 in Japan (UTC+2), a new trailer
and promotional image were released that anticipate the next story arc, this
time focused on the character of Umi Kato.
Production
in charge of the anime
This
adaptation of the renowned visual novel developed by Key is
directed by Tomoki Kobayashi (Remake Our Life!) under
the production of the feel studio. The series is composed by Keiichiro
Ochi (The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten), while character
design is done by Mai Otsuka (Tearmoon Empire). The
music is provided by a luxury team composed of Jun Maeda, Shinji
Orito, Tomohiro Takeshita, Donmaru and Ryo
Mizutsuki.
A summer
that transforms lives
The story
follows Takahara Hairi, a young man who is sent to Torishirojima
Island to take care of his late grandmother's memories. What seemed
like a simple summer is transformed into a nostalgic and unexpected experience.
Surrounded by an infinite sea and mysterious girls with their own desires,
Hairi begins to reconstruct forgotten memories and discover what he never knew
he had lost.
With each
new episode, Summer Pockets continues to explore the emotional
bonds between its characters, and the upcoming arc promises to delve even
deeper into the feelings of Umi, one of the most enigmatic and
tender figures in history.
