The
official website of Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend magazine
reported that the manga You're My Cutie!! (Kawaii Nante
Kiitenai!!), created by Nakaba Harufuji, will go on hiatus
due to production reasons. In addition, the release of volume 11,
scheduled for this fall, will also be delayed. The publisher will communicate
at a later date both the return of the work and the new publication schedule of
the volume.
This is not
the first time the series has stopped: it had already been on hiatus in
September 2024, resuming its serialization on February 13.
A
romantic comedy with unexpected twists
The story
follows Madoka, a young woman who is passionate about shoujo manga,
especially those where younger, more innocent boys fall in love with her senpai.
His fantasy seems to come true when an attractive kohai starts
working at his father's restaurant. However, far from being sweet and charming,
he is aloof and moody, with no intention of approaching her. Everything changes
when Madoka defends him from overly insistent fans, arousing an unexpected
interest in him.

Harufuji started
the work in June 2020 inside Bessatsu Friend. The tenth compilation
volume went on sale in Japan on April 11, while Kodansha USA published
the ninth digital volume in English in November 2024.
