Renowned director Keisuke Matsumoto presented on Monday a new animated project entitled Inpuru-kun no Sonzai Shinai Shigoto (The Non-Existent Works of Inpuru). The anime has already premiered its first episode and confirmed that new chapters will be released on the 1st and 15th of each month. The story is inspired by Inpuru-kun, the friendly mascot of the temporary employment agency Improve.

A series of absurd works

The plot follows Inpuru-kun as she accepts all kinds of unusual jobs. In his debut, the character takes on the curious role of zombie caretaker, kicking off a series of adventures full of surreal humor.

More from the cast and production

The main cast is made up of:

  • Mai Aizawa as Inpuru-kun and Purubu-chan.
  • Keisuke Matsumoto as Kamio-kun and Kokebayashi
  • Nobuyuki Obari (president of Improve) as Ohamu-san

The direction is in charge of Matsumoto, while the animation has the work of 184, Himari Kaburagi and Ahiru Kotori. The edition is in the hands of Fukutsū Aoki.

Previous experience of the director

Matsumoto had previously worked in similar productions such as Ponkotsu Quest and Seizei Gambare Mahō Shōjo Kurumi, where he also lent his voice to several characters. With this new project, he once again combines his particular style of directing with touches of absurd comedy.
