During a special broadcast of One Piece News, it was announced that the second season of the live-action OnePiece, titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, will be released on March 10, 2026 through Netflix. The event presented a new visual of Drum Island and a video in which Iñaki Godoy, interpreter of Monkey D. Luffy, made the announcement in both English and Japanese.
The second season of the live-action project will cover the story from Loguetown until Drum Island, including the arches of Reverse Mountain, Twin Cape, Peak Whiskey and Little Garden. According to the statement, production began in july 2024 and filming has already finished.
The creator of the original manga, Eiichiro Oda, confirmed that the story will remain faithful to the events of the original material. The screenwriter and producer Joe Tracz (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) joins as co-showrunner with Matt Owens, who led the first season. The executive producer Steve Maeda he is also returning, while Owens announced in March that he will be retiring from the project after the end of this season to focus on his mental health.
Netflix is already planning a third season
The live-action series of OnePiece debuted in august 2023 with eight episodes and was produced by Tomorrow Studios, a collaboration between Marty Adelstein (Prison Break, Teen Wolf) and ITV Studios. The production won awards at the Children's & Family Emmy Awards by “Best Original Song” and “Best Action Scene Coordination”. Netflix confirmed that the project will continue with a third season after Into the Grand Line.
