The official website of the anime The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter (Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai), based on the light novel by Wakatsu Yatsuki, presented a new one main promotional video which reveals the artists in charge of the musical themes. The series will premiere in january 2026.
The Rock Group Kobore he will perform the opening theme titled “Magic”, while the singer Win Morisaki he will be in charge of the closing issue “Back to Back”. Both themes are advanced in the new video, which combines action, drama and comedy scenes within the fantastic universe of the series.
The story follows a young office worker who dies of exhaustion and is reincarnated in another world, where he uses his accounting skills to help kingdoms and merchants balance their finances. The anime is directed by Shinji Ishihira (Tadaima, Okaeri) in Studio Deen, with the assistance of Akira Yamada (Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld). The script is in charge of Yoshiko Nakamura and the character design of Maki Fujii.
The technical team also includes a Masaki Mayuzumi as art director, Imari Katsuragi in color design and Shouji Hata as sound director. The music is on behalf of Megumi Oohashi, known for her work in Watashi no Yuri wa Oshigoto desu!.
From light novel to long-awaited anime
The original work began in Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2018 and was physically published by Enterbrain with illustrations of Kikka Ohashi. Its manga adaptation, drawn by Kazuki Irodori, is published on the site B's Log Comic and it currently has seven volumes. Both versions are licensed in English by Yen Press.
