The Duel
Masters LOST universe has no intention of stopping. The official Duel
Masters LOST anime website announced that the production of a fourth
part, Duel Masters LOST ~Danzai no Shonen~ (The Sentenced
Boy), has been greenlit. The anime's character designer, Chikara
Hashizume, shared an illustration of the mysterious titular protagonist,
who had already appeared in the third part of the series.
At the
moment, the production committee has not revealed the release date or a release
window for this sequel. However, the Sho-Pro company confirmed
that it will host a special panel dedicated to the franchise at its booth
during the AnimeJapan 2026 convention. The event is scheduled
for March 29 and will feature the participation of the voice
cast, being the ideal setting to reveal new technical data and promotional
images.
About
the franchise
This saga
was born as a direct derivative of the long-lived and successful collectible
card game of the same name. The first manga in this line, titled Tsuioku
no Suishō, was published between February and March 2024. Its success
guaranteed it a four-episode adaptation to web anime format (net anime) that
aired in October of that same year.
The authors
subsequently worked on the sequel Gekka no Shinigami from
August 2024 to February 2025. Its respective animated series, also four
episodes, aired between December 2024 and February 2025. Finally, the third
printed part (Bōkyaku no Taiyō) debuted in September 2025 and concluded
on January 1 to make way for the announcement of the fourth installment. The
animated adaptation of this third arc has just premiered on February 6,
maintaining the format of four episodes via streaming.
