Along with the reveal, the production committee (led by TAKARA TOMY A.R.T.S and syn Sophia) shared a first promotional video and visual. The preview allows us to listen to a preview of the musical themes of the series: the opening song entitled "Onegai AiPri!" will be performed by the group Onegai Kanae-tai, while the ending theme song "Hōkago no Onegai!" will be performed by the girl group Iginari Tohoku San.

For this new installment, the animation is a co-production between the renowned OLM studios and the South Korean production company Dongwoo A&E. The scripts are under the supervision of Gigaemon Ichikawa (who had already been working on Himitsu no AiPri), while Manabu Nii, whom you surely remember for his great work in Akiba Maid War, is in charge of adapting the original character designs of Hiromi Nashimoto.

What is the story about?

The plot follows Inori Konomi, a high school freshman who has just moved to the city of Onegai. Upon arriving at the town square, Inori prays to the statue of a goddess asking for the chance to become an "AiPri" idol. At the end of his prayer, he accidentally bumps into Aoi Yumemiya, a very famous AiPri, and a mysterious talking stuffed animal named Fōchū.

It turns out that Fōchū is looking for someone capable of making his wish come true. When Inori opens the special mirror pact given to her by Aoi, she manages to get the long-awaited stage debut she had just prayed for.

About the franchise

Pretty Series is a heavyweight in Japan. It started in 2010 as an arcade game and over the course of more than a decade, it has inspired super hit anime such as PriParaKiratto PriChan, and Waccha PriMagi!. This new series takes over directly from Himitsu no AiPri, which aired in two seasons between 2024 and 2025, keeping alive the tradition of musical shows full of color and fashion.
