After
months of uncertainty and a couple of painful bumps in its broadcast schedule
during the end of 2025, the successful school rom-com will
finally see its outcome. The production committee of the animated adaptation
of Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle (known in Japan as Chitose-kun
wa Ramune Bin no Naka) released a new trailer and promotional poster
focused on the long-awaited "Asuka Nishino Arc." With this update, it
was confirmed that episodes 11, 12 and 13 will be broadcast consecutively in a
television marathon on March 31.
Japanese
networks such as Tokyo MX will broadcast this block of episodes without
interruptions to give a dignified closure to the spring season. However, this
announcement left a small loose end for digital fans: the team did not specify
when these three final chapters will be available for consumption on streaming platforms,
so we will have to stay tuned for future updates.
Details
about Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle
The
animation of this series has been under the complete responsibility of
the feel studio, with Yuji Tokuno (recognized
for his work in Pretty Boy Detective Club) in the director's chair.
To ensure maximum fidelity to the work, the scripts were supervised by
veteran Naruhisa Arakawa, who co-wrote the adaptation directly
with Hiromu, the original author. At the same time, the attractive
character designs were carried out by Sumie Kinoshita.
The musical
section of the series perfectly reflects the youthful and nostalgic vibes of
the plot. The opening theme, titled "Liar," is
performed by Kucci, while the band Cider Girl puts
the finishing touch on each episode with their ending theme called
"Kagero."
What is
the story about?
The plot
introduces us to Saku Chitose, a near-perfect student who attends the
prestigious Fujishi High School in Fukui Prefecture. Outstanding in his grades,
talented in sports and owner of an enviable social life, Saku is the center of
attention of the entire school. Of course, this popularity has allowed him to
surround himself with a circle of friends that anyone would wish they had.
However,
under that façade of perfection, the protagonist feels an emotional emptiness.
During the spring of his sophomore year, Saku receives an unusual request from
his teachers: to help a withdrawn classmate return to school life. This event
will trigger a series of situations that will lead your group of friends to
explore their own trapped feelings, as if they were the iconic marble inside a
bottle of ramune.
