The rom-com I Want to End This Love Game reveals new trailer and announces its opening

Getting out of the friend zone is an extreme risky sport, but trying to make your best friend fall in love with her favorite sleeves is another level of madness. Thankfully, we already have a new promo trailer for the animated adaptation of I Want to End This Love Game (Aishiteru Game or Owarasetai). This video not only lets us see the protagonist's funny attempts at seduction, but also gives us a preview of its official opening and confirms that this romantic war will premiere on Japanese television on April 14.

So that this school comedy doesn't feel like just another generic rom-com of the season, the project fell into the hands of the Felix Film studio. The director's chair is occupied by Azuma Tani, who has the strong backing of Keiichiro Ochi in the composition and supervision of the scripts, ensuring that the rhythm of the jokes is not lost. As for the redesign of the characters for the screen, the task fell to Yuki Fukuchi.

The musical section looks pretty good for J-Pop fans, as the catchy opening track, titled "Kimi no Sei de Aishiteru," will be performed by the popular duo of CHICO with Honeyworks and will be released on digital platforms right on the day of the premiere. To close the episodes with something quieter, the ending "Little World" will be in charge of the group PompadollS.

About I Want to End This Love Game

If the premise still doesn't catch you, you should know that the original manga was created by Yuki Domoto and has been published on the Sunday Webry platform since 2021. The story begins when Yukiya decides to send her quiet nerd image to hell and throws herself the best *glow-up* in high school with only one goal in mind: to steal the heart of her childhood best friend, Miku.

Their brilliant and embarrassing strategy? Use her favorite shojo sleeves as instruction manual. Yukiya is one hundred percent willing to corner her against the wall, stare at her and spout killer phrases typical of a fictional heartthrob to make her beat a thousand per hour. Obviously, the plan clashes with reality and everything becomes a game of pride, where the first one who blushes or gets nervous, loses.
