Keeping a hundred soulmates safe is a full-time job that doesn't allow for breaks. After several months of speculation since the production of its respective sequel was confirmed, the crazy romantic comedy The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You finally has a definitive day marked on the calendar. Its long-awaited third season will start broadcasting this coming July 5, taking by storm the nightly block of the Japanese networks Tokyo MX, Sun TV and BS11.

To raise the hype towards this summer premiere, the production committee released a new promotional image that introduces the next conquests that will test Rentaro Aijo's sanity. The students who are integrated into this massive dynamic of loving survival are Yamame Yasashiki, from the peaceful garden club; Momiji Momi, a curious third-year high school student; and Kishika Torotoro, the fierce president of the kendo club.

The New Voices of Romance

Sustaining a female choral cast that does not stop growing requires signing great figures in the dubbing industry. For this third installment, the production secured the arrival of two renowned actresses to play the protagonist's strict cousin and a peculiar Western-style language teacher:

  • Kaori Ishihara as Chiyo Iin
She is known for voicing Aladdin in Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic and Shota Magatsuchi in Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid.
  • Ayana Taketatsu as Nadi
The unmistakable voice behind Nino Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets and Azusa Nakano in K-ON!.

The technical team behind the chaos

On a visual and narrative level, fans can rest assured that there will be no drastic changes. Bibury Animation Studio maintains the reins of the project under the sharp direction of Hikaru Sato. Screenwriter Takashi Aoshima and character designer Akane Yano remain on board to ensure the fidelity of the series. Meanwhile, the original work written by mangaka Rikito Nakamura and drawn by Yukiko Nozawa continues to bring fresh stories straight from the pages of Weekly Young Jump magazine.
