MAPPA's 15th anniversary event continued to
deliver announcements, and this was one that Denji fans were most looking
forward to: the second teaser for the Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc anime
arrived confirming the full production team. Tatsuya Yoshihara, who
directed the film Reze Arc, returns to take charge of this new
chapter of the franchise.
The scripts are in the hands of Hiroshi
Seko, while Kensuke Ushio composes the music, maintaining
the sound continuity that has defined the identity of the series since its
first season. Character design is done by Kazutaka Sugiyama, with a
large team of supporting character designers including Shoichi, Ken
Seo, Shun, Hiroyuki Saita, and Naoki
Chigira. Kiyotaka Oshiyama is in charge of the design of
the demons, one of the most distinctive visual elements of the franchise. The
art direction falls to Yusuke Takeda and Taku Munemasa,
with sound direction by Yasushi Nagura.
The Assassin's Arc directly follows Reze's arc
within the manga's chronology, confirming that production progresses linearly
into the events that continue after the events of the film. With Yoshihara back
and this level of detail in the team confirmed, production is clearly moving
towards this new installment in the franchise.
