After years of waiting divided into
installments, the end of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has a
definitive date. The fourth and final cour, subtitled The Calamity,
confirmed its premiere for July 25, 2026, revealing along with the
announcement the musical themes that will accompany the closing of this
adaptation and a new main visual.
The opening is called "I-BULL" and
is performed by the singer jo0ji. The ending song "Rasen" (Espiral)
is in charge of the singer-songwriter 9Lana. For a franchise that
has built much of its recent identity on memorable openings and endings in
every cour, the choice of these two artists to close the story carries
considerable symbolic weight.
The Thousand-Year Blood War project kicked off
in 2022 with its first cour, covering the initial stages of the arc. The second
cour arrived in 2023, and the third, subtitled The Conflict, aired
in late 2024. This structure of continuous adaptation with pauses between cours
has allowed the story to develop over several seasons without compromising the
quality of production that has characterized the project from the beginning.
About Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War adapts the final arc of Tite
Kubo's original manga, bringing together all the long-term narrative
threads related to Soul Society, the Quincy, and the group of characters led
by Ichigo Kurosaki. The adaptation has been recognized for its high
production values and faithful approach to the source material, returning
Bleach to the place many fans felt it deserved after years without an animated
conclusion to its story. The Calamity represents the definitive closure of that
project.
