A legendary knight who enters the world's most dangerous labyrinth to restore her kingdom. And her partner: a guy who doesn't fight, doesn't explore, lives off it and spends the day drinking and being sarcastic. The Kept Man of the Princess Knight released its first teaser confirming the premiere for January 2027, and the video already makes it clear that the dynamic between its two protagonists is exactly as strange as it sounds.

The teaser offers a first look at the atmosphere of Gray Neighbor, the labyrinthine town where the story takes place, while presenting the contrast between the serious and proud Arwin, known as the Crimson Princess Knight, and the laid-back, sharp-tongued Matthew, her keeping. The city grows around the Great Labyrinth of the White Night of a Thousand Years, whose light attracts adventurers from all sides, although the same intensity generated by that light also deepens the shadows of a chaotic and dangerous city. Arwin enters the labyrinth to restore his homeland. Matthew waits for her outside with a glass in his hand.

The series holds a secret shared between the two that no one else knows about and that defines the true nature of their relationship. The teaser raises the question that sustains the story: whether that twisted bond will lead them to a bright future or to a tragedy in between.

The voice cast

Junichi Suwabe as Matthew (Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in Bleach and Daiki Aomine in Kuroko no Basket).

Mikako Komatsu as Arwin (Seishiro Nishizumi in Girls und Panzer and Neko in K).

About The Kept Man of the Princess Knight

The Kept Man of the Princess Knight (Hime Kishi no Himo) is a fantasy story built around a role reversal that goes beyond the comedic element: the knight is the one who works, fights and financially sustains the relationship, while her partner lives seemingly without doing anything useful and earns the ridicule of those around them. who call him "Spark", a useless man with a sharp tongue. The tension between that public image and the secret that unites them is what gives the series its depth behind the humor.
