There are many things that make Jaadugar attract
attention even before its premiere: it is directed by Naoko Yamada,
produced by Science SARU, was selected in competition at
the Annecy festival, and its protagonist is a Persian woman
with advanced knowledge of medicine and science navigating the politics of the
Mongol Empire in the thirteenth century. Now add to that list the ending of the
anime: "Hoshi" (Star), performed by Queen
Bee, revealed in the new trailer with a confirmed premiere for July
4, 2026.
The opening theme "Stella" is
by SEKAI NO OWARI. Before the official premiere, the anime
already had its world premiere with the first three episodes on June 13, and
was selected in the TV Movies category of the Annecy International
Animation Festival 2026. The U.S. premiere is scheduled for July 3
at the Anime Expo, with chief director Naoko Yamada and
director Abel Góngora in attendance.
The Production Team
The general direction is in charge of Naoko
Yamada, with Abel Góngora as director at Science
SARU. Kenichi Yoshida designs the characters and acts as
the lead animator. The scripts are supervised by Kanichi Kato, and
the music is composed by Koshiro Hino.
