The novels Fired? But I Maintain All the Software! will have anime adaptation

There is a fantasy that many workers in the technology sector have had in silence: that the day they are fired, everything will fall apart. Well, Fired? But I Maintain All the Software! It takes that fantasy, puts a completely different spin on it, and now it's going to have anime. The publisher Shufu to Seikatsu Sha confirmed the animated adaptation of Yuki Kashirome's light novel, although for now the announcement comes without a studio, without a cast and without a release date.

The protagonist is Ai Sato, an engineer who was alone in charge of the maintenance of all the systems in her company. One day she is fired without warning. Instead of being paralyzed, Ai crosses paths with an old friend, Kenta Suzuki, who is looking for a partner to start a business. The decision they make together is to open a programming school aimed at people who really need that support to change their situation.

What distinguishes the series from other stories of work reincarnation or office isekai is that its students are not background characters. Each one arrives with their own burden: an office worker who wants to improve their family relationship, a woman who needs to prove her value at work, an unemployed person who wants to fulfill a dream for her mother. Ai not only teaches them how to code, it helps them regain confidence in a job market that left them behind. Comedy and emotion coexist in that makeshift classroom, and that's exactly what has given the series its readership.
