Androids and a futuristic Tokyo: The Re:bel Robotica anime announces its premiere for 2027

Anime Expo panels continue to drop massive announcements for the future of the industry. During the Amuse Creative Studio presentation, the production committee behind Re:bel Robotica took advantage of international attention to release their first promotional video. The preview served to officially confirm that this ambitious multimedia project will make the leap to the television format, setting its premiere for 2027 and boasting a production team that promises absolute quality.

To build this dark sci-fi universe, the animation will fall entirely to the offices of the SILVER LINK studio. The overall direction of the project is in the hands of the experienced Shin Ōnuma, backed by Kōki Onoue in the chair of episode director. The responsibility of structuring and expanding the scripts was assigned to Ryō Yoshigami, an author who already knows this universe perfectly, while Kazuyuki Yamayoshi will be in charge of polishing the character design. However, the production company's master move was to sign the legendary Yuki Kajiura to compose the main theme songs, leaving the rest of the tense original soundtrack to Takumi Ozawa and Shiho Terada

The visual legacy of Mika Pikazo

It is impossible to talk about this project without mentioning its creator, illustrator Mika Pikazo, who is recognized worldwide for bringing to life figures such as VTubers Kaguya Luna and Hakoz Baelz, in addition to her work on franchises such as Fate/Grand Order and Fire Emblem Engage. What began as a modest self-published doujin work during Comiket 2017, quickly evolved thanks to ARCH's editorial backing and the publication of light novels in 2022. The plot of this new anime will drag us to Tokyo in the year 2050, a utopia dominated by the Robotica (humanoid machines created to serve), whose peace will be shattered by the sudden appearance of an enigmatic girl named Lily on the streets of Shibuya.
