The production committee behind the
ambitious animated adaptation of the legendary RPG Suikoden took
advantage of the spotlight of the Anime Expo to drop a massive trailer. Through
a spectacular promotional video, it was confirmed that the series will land on
Japanese television during the month of October. The trailer not
only served to show off the fluidity of the fights, but gave us an excellent
taste of the opening theme titled "Kanashimi Sae
Otonabite", performed by the unmistakable and melancholic rock band amazarashi.
To warm up before the television debut, the
franchise prepared a fairly aggressive strategy. Japanese fans will be able to
enjoy the first three episodes through advance screenings in ten select
theaters in Japan starting August 21. All this technical deployment comes
directly from the offices of KONAMI animation, with the experienced Yūzō
Satō occupying the director's chair and Michihiro Tsuchiya structuring
the scripts to compress this dense political plot. In addition, the production
team confirmed that the universe will expand to other media with a new manga
adaptation illustrated by Kochiya, which will begin publication at the end of
July.

massive border dispute between the powerful Kingdom of Highland and the
City-States of Jowstown. While a fragile peace deal appears to calm the waters
temporarily, the embers of all-out war continue to burn beneath the surface.
With a recent successful remastered re-release and new mobile games in
development, it's clear that the company is looking to regain lost ground in
the industry.
Considering the immense narrative weight of the
original game and the absurd amount of characters that the story handles
