Lovers of stories starring adults have a new reason to celebrate. The publisher Kadokawa kicked off the week by releasing an excellent announcement for fans of the franchise, officially confirming that the original manga Noa-senpai wa Tomodachi. (known in English as Noa Is My Senior, and My Friend.) will make the long-awaited leap to television with its own animated adaptation. The news came with vibrant concept art and the reveal of the main technical team that will take the reins of this peculiar work romance.

The narrative of this little gem takes us out of the typical school environment to immerse us in the life of Rihito Otsuka, a fairly relaxed employee who works in a video game company and whose only rule of life is to spend as little energy as possible. Everything changes drastically thanks to her superior, Noa Saotome, the perfect classic businesswoman, admired by everyone and with impeccable ethics. However, our protagonist discovers by accident the most embarrassing and hidden side of his boss, triggering a peculiar relationship of "just friends" outside of working hours. All this dynamic was born from the mind of author Enma Akiyama, who has been serializing the work in the pages of Weekly Young Jump magazine since 2023.

To ensure that the chemistry between these two office workers works seamlessly on the small screen, the production committee left the animation in the capable hands of studio feel. The director's chair will be occupied by the experienced Shinsuke Yanagi (Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki), accompanied in the supervision and writing of the scripts by Keiichiro Ochi, a true veteran if we remember his impeccable work structuring The Quintessential Quintuplets. To finish off the formula, the character designs will be carried out by Yumiko Yamamoto, promising to maintain that colorful and expressive style that characterizes the illustrations of the source material so much.

Seeing that romantic comedies starring office workers and adults are gaining more and more ground against typical high school romances
