The third season of Mashle confirms its premiere for January 2027

The Aniplex panel during the recent Anime Expo made it clear that fists are still superior to wands. The animated adaptation of Mashle: Magic and Muscles released the first official trailer for its third season, confirming that the new episodes will begin airing on Japanese television during the month of January 2027. This trailer anticipates the arrival of the intense arc of the Final Examination of the Illuminati, where Mash Burnedead and his companions from the magical academy must pass tests that will completely defy the rules of this world.

To keep the absurd combination of deadpan comedy and unbridled action going, the creative core within A-1 Pictures returns almost intact. Tomoya Tanaka remains firmly in the director's chair, backed by Yōsuke Kuroda's experience in series composition and scripts, while Masaru Yokoyama will continue to inject pure adrenaline into the soundtrack. The only relevant tactical change on the part of the production committee occurred in the area of animation, where Chiaki Furuzumi takes over from Hisashi Higashijima as head of character designs.

The Road to the Full Animated Adaptation

The impact of this franchise is no coincidence. Born from Hajime Kōmoto's imagination, the work was published in the demanding pages of the Weekly Shonen Jump between January 2020 and July 2023, managing to close its story in 18 compilation volumes. Since the anime kicked off in April 2023 with its first season, followed by the viral second part in 2024, the studio's goal has always been to animate the manga in its entirety. With parallel expansions ranging from plays to the launch of its mobile video game in 2025, it is proven that the formula of the protagonist without magical powers is still extremely profitable.
