Small Worlds Tokyo theme park revealed some photos of the area inspired by the Sailor Moon franchise. The images were published through the franchise's official Twitter account.

Small Worlds is the world's largest miniature figure theme park, with anime creator Shoji Kawamori as its creative director. In addition to miniature versions of real cities like London and Hong Kong, the park also includes scale replicas based on anime cities, such as Tokyo-3 from the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise. The park employs practical special effects such as underground magnet motors, projection mapping, and smoke machines to bring the replicas to life.

The theme park was scheduled to open its doors on April 25, but this was delayed until June 11 due to the effects of the new coronavirus disease pandemic (COVID-19).

About Sailor Moon

The franchise began with the publication of the shoujo manga written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi, originally serialized in Nakayoshi magazine between 1991 and 1997, these first chapters were compiled into 18 volumes. The play inspired a first anime adaptation aired between 1992 and 1997, three animated films, a television special, and three animated shorts.

In addition, the franchise has inspired live-action movies and has become one of the main exponents of the manga and is also one of the best-selling shoujo manga in history. Currently, the Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Eternal project will release its first film on September 11 in Japan.
