Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru: Nana Tamashii no Ryuujinmaru will resume broadcasting this month

On the official Twitter account for the anime Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru: Nana Tamashii no Ryuujinmaru, the new project by Sunrise studio and toy brand Tamashii Nations by Bandai Spirits for the Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru franchise, it was announced that the broadcast of the third episode will be will take place on June 19.

The series had suspended the broadcast of episodes # 3 and # 4, scheduled for May 8 and 22, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production. For its part, the project premiered on April 10 through the official YouTube channel of Bandai Spirits, in two halves. The first half was scheduled to air on the following schedule:

Episode # 1: April 10, 2020.
Episode # 2: April 24, 2020.
Episode # 3: May 08, 2020.
Episode # 4: May 22, 2020.

The remaining five episodes will air in September on dates not yet confirmed. The first anime of the Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru franchise premiered in 1988. The sequel Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru 2 premiered in 1990, followed by Chou Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru in 1997. The franchise also inspired three OVAs released between 1989 and 1993.

Synopsis for Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru: Nana Tamashii no Ryuujinmaru

The story follows Wataru, who travels to the Sōkaizan world in response to a call for help. An evil entity has invaded the area, and the power of the Ryūjinmaru robot has been sealed. Along with his friends Shibaraku, Toaro and Himiko; Wataru will start a new adventure.
