EX-ARM continues with bad animation work

The lifeless and weightless animation of the new Crunchyroll Original consisting of the animated adaptation of the manga written by HiRock and illustrated by Shinya Komi, EX-ARM, continues in its second episode while producing some brief girl-on-girl kisses and uncomfortable fight scenes, moments so crucial in the manga that some would surely wish they had been better animated.

As for the kissing scene between the two girls, it has been hidden under a light effect. Censorship? It's hard to believe, and some network users are sure that, rather, those in charge of the animation work, which is worth mentioning are completely new to the industry, had no idea how to make the lip animation feel natural. Therefore, it is likely that they decided to cover the scene with some light.

Finally, EX-ARM has been on air in Japan since January 11th and is confirmed with a total of twelve episodes, with Crunchyroll airing simultaneously. The series has the worst MyAnimeList debut rating this season, with 2.25 out of 10 out of 6,792 reviews. Its lousy animation work, its rookie production team, and its obviously precarious budget (in which the Crunchyroll SC Anime Fund division is involved) are obvious causes of all its failures.

EX-ARM Synopsis

2014: Akira Natsume seems to have a near-phobia of electronic devices while being very good at diagnosing them. One day, he decides to change to look better and get a girlfriend just like his older brother did... However, Akira suddenly dies in an accident.

16 years later, a special police and her fellow android recover and activate a highly advanced Artificial Intelligence and super weapon called EX-ARM and put it in total control of their ship as their last resort. It turns out that AI is actually Akira's mind!
