As
we previously reported , it was announced during the Fantasia
Bunko Daikashasai Online 2023 event that the light novels " I
Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World ",
Too would be getting a "new anime." While no further details were
given, it appeared to be a sequel to the Spring 2023 anime.
Now, during the AnimeJapan 2025 event, it has been
confirmed that this "new anime" will be a television special. The
cast returns with Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Yuuya Tenjo and Akari
Kitou as Kaori Hojo, and Shin Itagaki , director of
the original anime, also returns to direct this special, with Hiromi
Kimura on character design and UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS in
charge of planning and production.
As if that weren't enough, a leak from SUGOI Lite
has revealed that, in addition to the special, a second season of the anime is
also in development at the Millepensee studio. It looks like there's
much more to come!
Regarding the details of the series, they are as follows:
- Miku and Rein
Kuwashima began publishing the light novels through Fujimi Shobo 's Fantasia
Bunko imprint in December 2018. Additionally, a manga
adaptation by Kazuomi Minatogawa has been published on
the DenPlay Comic web service since December 2019. An anime adaptation
aired during the Spring 2023 season (April–June) for a
total of thirteen episodes.
- The
voice cast includes Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Yuuya
Tenjou, Akari Kitou as Kaori Hojou, Kaori Maeda as
Lexia Von Arcelia, Ai Kakuma as Luna, Rina Hidaka as
Yuti, Nao Toyama as Night, Kazuhiko Inoue as
Usagi, and Yuka Iguchi as Akatsuki.
- The
production team consists of Shingo Tanabe as series
director at Millepensee Studios , Shin Itagaki as
writer and script supervisor, Hiromi Kimura as character
designer and animation director, and Akiyuki Tateyama as
soundtrack composer.
- The
story centers on Yuuya Tenjou, a young boy who has been bullied since
childhood. He lives in his beloved grandfather's house while attending
school. After a long absence due to bullying, he takes the time to clean
his grandfather's house and discovers a secret door that leads him to an
unknown world.
