We already have a glimpse of Grand Blue's return

Almost everything is ready for the premiere of the second season of "Grand Blue"! As mentioned before , the anime will arrive in Japan on July 7, and in that first update important details were revealed, such as a new promotional visual and the confirmation of the opening theme " Seishun Towa ", performed by the reggae group Shonan no Kaze and produced by Atarashii Gakko! .


But now, we have more! The official website recently released a new promotional video that gives us our first look at the full version of the song "Seishun Towa." The big comeback is almost here!

In the meantime, if you're not familiar with this franchise, here are the details:


  • The manga has been serialized by Kenji Inoue in Kodansha 's Good! Afternoon magazine since April 2014, with art by Kimitake Yoshioka . An anime adaptation was developed by Zero-G , with twelve episodes airing in Summer 2018 (July–September) , followed by a live-action film in November 2019 in Japan.

  • The voice cast consists of Yuuma Uchida as Iori Kitahara, Ryohei Kimura as Kohei Imamura, Hiroki Yasumoto as Shinji Tokita, Katsuyuki Konishi as Ryuujiro Kotobuki, among others.

  • The film is directed by Shinji Takamatsu ( Gintama, Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, Sakamoto desu ga? ) at Zero-G Studios , in conjunction with Liber Studios . He is also in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.

  • The character designs and animation direction are in charge of Hideoki Kusama ( Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Toradora! ) and Youichi Ueda ( Trigun, Gangsta, Sora no Otoshimono ).

  • The soundtrack is composed by Yukari Hashimoto ( Toradora!, Golden Time, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun ).

  • The story centers on Iori Kitahara, who moves to the coastal city of Izu for his first year of college and takes up residence at Grand Blue, his uncle's dive shop. While dreaming of an ideal college experience, he finds himself caught up in the wild parties at the Diving Club. Grand Blue follows Iori's misadventures as he strives to achieve his college dream and learn to dive, all amidst comical situations.
