Through a
press release, the Netflix platform revealed a new look at the
upcoming original anime by author Tow Ubukata and WIT STUDIO studios ,
" Moonrise ". The release listed
that the premiere is scheduled for next April 10 through the platform's
global catalog , and revealed that Aina The End will
perform the ending theme titled " Daijobu ".
Previously,
the anime was scheduled to premiere in 2024, but had to be rescheduled due to
unspecified issues. Furthermore, Tow Ubukata released a
prologue novel in December 2018, after having been in charge of writing
projects such as " Mardock Scramble ", " Ghost
in the Shell Arise ", " Heroic Age ",
and " Fafner ".

Year TS
2XXX AD Humanity has formed a "Relaxed World Government." Everything
has been entrusted to the international AI network Sapientia, and people live
according to their rational judgment... However, Sapientia's Lunar Reclamation
Project caused a rift between Earth—which keeps the peace by sending polluters
and criminals to the Moon—and the Moon itself, forced to live in poverty,
igniting the spark of the War of Independence.
The
protagonist, Jack, who was involved in a bombing, lost his family to the Lunar
Rebels, a group seeking to free him from Earth's rule. Vowing revenge, Jack
decides to travel to the Moon with his friends as a researcher for the Earth's
military, determined to confront those who took everything from him.
