The
official website for the Summer Pockets anime based on
the Visual Arts/Key visual novel has released a fourth
promotional video focusing on the character of Tsumugi Wenders ,
played by voice actress Emiri Iwai . The trailer is
accompanied by a new visual image that also highlights her.
The anime
premiered on April 7 on Tokyo MX and BS11 ,
followed by broadcasts on MBS and SBS on April
8 , AT-X on April 10 , and TV
Setouchi on April 11 . Crunchyroll streams
the series simulcast with Japan for international audiences.
A summer
story full of nostalgia
Summer
Pockets takes place on a remote island, where the protagonists experience a
summer filled with unforgettable memories. Tsumugi 's character has captured the
attention of fans for her tenderness, sweetness, and emotional connection to
the story's more nostalgic elements.
From
video game to anime: an emotional journey
The
original visual novel was released for PC in June 2018 in
Japan. It was later adapted for the Nintendo Switch in June
2019 and received an expanded version titled Summer Pockets
REFLECTION BLUE in June 2020. This edition is also
available on PS4 and mobile devices.
The English
version of the game arrived on PC via Steam in February
2020 , allowing international fans to experience the emotional thrill.
A luxury
creative team
The
original concept was created by Jun Maeda ( Clannad , Angel
Beats! ), while the illustrations and character designs are by Na-Ga , Tsubasu
Izumi , Nagayama and Fumuyun . The
script was written by Yū Niijima , Kai and Hasama .
The soundtrack is composed by Jun Maeda , Shinji Orito , Donmaru and Tomohiro
Takeshita .
Manga on
the way and spin-off in progress
The
franchise continues to expand with the upcoming release of the Summer
Pockets -Natsu no Takaramono- (Summer Treasures) manga, which will
debut on Shueisha 's Tonari no Young Jump site
in May .
Additionally,
a spin-off manga titled Summer Pockets Mugyu Days ~Tsumugi no Shima
Sanpo~ ( Tsumugi's Gentle Days ~An Island Stroll~ )
premiered on February 28 in Dengeki Moeoh magazine and
on the KadoComi website . The story is illustrated by Yūnon
Nagayama , who also participated in the original game design.
With an
intimate and emotional approach, Summer Pockets promises to
become one of the most heartwarming anime of this season.
