The
platform Max confirmed that Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza
League, the sequel in CGI animation of the acclaimed anime Batman
Ninja, will be released in streaming next July 3. This new
chapter, loaded with Japanese action and aesthetics, brings together the most
iconic characters in the DC universe in a totally different environment: feudal
Japan.
The film
had already debuted in digital format in the United States on
March 18 through services such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google
Play and Voodoo. Later, on April 15, it was released
in physical edition in 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray.
Since March 21 it is also available on platforms streaming in Japan.
The movie
is available in Japanese audio with subtitles in multiple
languages as well as with dubbing in english.
A
creative team with a stunning visual stamp
Production
is again carried out by the study Kamikaze Douga, known for its
distinctive artistic style and for its opening sequences in JoJo's
Bizarre Adventure. Director Junpei Mizusaki repeat in this
sequel along with Shinji Takagi, who has worked as a unit director
on titles like Blood: The Last Vampire.
They also
return Kazuki Nakashima as a screenwriter, Takashi
Okazaki as a character designer and Yūgo Kanno as a
composer of the soundtrack.
A legacy
that transcends media
Batman
Ninja It
originally debuted in April 2018 in digital format and in May in physical
format. In Japan, it premiered in theaters in June of that same year, and was
later broadcast on the block Toonami in October 2021.
The story
led Batman and his allies to Period of States at War of Japan,
where they faced feudal versions of their enemies, such as The Joker become
warlord.
The film
also inspired a manga adaptation in charge of Massage
Hisa published between 2018 and 2019, and which received the
prestigious Seiun Prize in 2020. He even had his theatrical
version in Japan in November 2021.
With a
groundbreaking visual style and a unique reinterpretation of the Batman
universe, Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League promises to be one of
this summer's most eye-catching premieres for anime fans and superheroes.
