The story was also adapted to sleeve by Takeshi Obata and Ryōsuke Takeuchi between January and May 2014, with an English edition published by Viz Media. In addition, that same year a graphic version was released in a single volume in full color, adapted by Nick Mamatas and with illustrations of Lee Ferguson.

The global scope of the work was consolidated with the film live-action Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, which premiered in 2014 and raised more than 370 million dollars worldwide.
