The creative team returns and the conflict escalates

The new season will once again be directed by Kenichi Imaizumi, with a script by Noboru Takagi and character design by Hisashi Abe, in a co-production between Pierrot and St. Signpost studios. Additionally, Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto return as music composers.

In this sixth season, the intense battle between the kingdoms of Qin and Zhao will begin, and the protagonist Xin will take Wang Yi's spear and rush into the battlefield.

A franchise consolidated in anime history

The fifth season of the anime premiered in January 2024 and consisted of 13 episodes, streaming internationally on Crunchyroll. The animated series began in 2012 with a first season, followed by a second in 2013, both of which streamed on Funimation in North America and were released on DVD in 2016.

The third season premiered in April 2020, although it was interrupted after four episodes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Broadcasting resumed in April 2021, starting from the first episode. Subsequently, the fourth season debuted in April 2022 through the NHK General channel, with Crunchyroll as the streaming platform.

A story of war, ambition, and leadership

Kingdom centers on Xin, a young slave who dreams of becoming a great general in the service of the state of Qin. Along with Ying Zheng, the young king of Qin, he shares the goal of unifying all of China. Throughout the story, Xin strives to rise on the battlefield and lead an army capable of defeating the other six warring states.

The manga, recognized for its great impact in Japan, began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine in 2006. Starting in November, Viz Media will officially begin publishing the manga in English.

With a story packed with strategy, military conflict, and personal growth, Kingdom promises a sixth season full of excitement and action.
