Ito's manga My Dear Detective: Mitsuko's Case Files (Kimi wa Nazotoki no
Macherie) is nearing its conclusion. According to the eighth compiled book
volume released on May 29, the story will conclude with the release of its
ninth volume.

The story
follows Hoshino Mitsuko, a determined and hardworking woman in 1930s Japan, a
time when career women were frowned upon. Despite societal pressure to stay
home, Mitsuko is determined to make a name for herself as a private detective.
Her life
takes an unexpected turn when the handsome waiter Yoshida Saku offers her her
first solo case. Together, they form a peculiar duo that faces various
mysteries while dealing with the turbulent atmosphere of the Showa era.

Amidst International Success
The manga
began serialization in Futabasha's Manga Action magazine in May 2021, and later
moved to the Web Action website on October 18. Since July 2022, the series has
been available digitally through the Azuki service, while Seven Seas handles
its print distribution in English.
In fact,
the third physical volume in English is scheduled for release on June 10,
bringing this elegant detective story to an ever-wider audience outside of
Japan.
With a
strong female protagonist and a carefully crafted historical setting, My Dear
Detective has offered a fresh take on the mystery genre. Its impending finale
leaves fans with high expectations for how its intriguing narrative will
