The
upcoming anime adaptation of the manga Osananajimi to wa LoveCom ni Naranai
(literally, "It's Not Possible to Have a Romantic Comedy with a Childhood
Friend") has released a new teaser illustration hinting at the faces of
the four main heroines.
The visual,
although partially hidden, has sparked great excitement among romcom fans,
revealing details about the girls who will star in this twisted young love
story.
A Love
Story... or Not So Much
The
original manga is the work of Shinya Misu and has been published since March
2022 through Kodansha's Magazine Pocket platform. Its anime adaptation is
expected to arrive sometime in 2026 under the production of the prestigious
studio Tezuka Productions. So far, no details regarding the voice cast or
production team have been confirmed.
The story
revolves around Eeyuu, a high school student with a peculiar dilemma: his two
childhood friends, Shio and Akari, have become too cute. Although they have no
romantic intentions, Eeyuu is the only one who begins to see them differently.
How embarrassing if they find out! But... what if they also harbor secret
feelings?
Love,
Desire, and Misunderstandings
The series
promises a romantic comedy with a love triangle full of tension,
misunderstandings, and tenderness, under the motto: "Childhood friends are
the best... but also the most dangerous!"
With a
combination of teenage humor, emotional insecurities, and charming character
designs, Osananajimi to wa LoveCom ni Naranai is set to be one of the most
