The highly anticipated sequel to PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT will not only bring back its irreverent original cast and creative team, but will also feature a powerful musical comeback. On August 6th, the new single featuring the series' opening and ending themes will be released, marking a summer filled with rhythm and nostalgia.

A High-Voltage Opening with Star-Studded Collaborations

The opening theme is titled "Theme of New Panty & Stocking" and is written by two figures who already made their mark on the original series: Taku Takahashi (of m-flo) returns as music producer, while TeddyLoid joins again as a production collaborator. This song will feature vocals by Ashley and multilingual rapper E.V.P., offering a blend of electronica and punk attitude that is very true to the spirit of the series.

An ending theme song yet to be revealed and an additional surprise

While the ending theme has yet to be revealed, it has been confirmed that it will also be included in the single. Additionally, the third track included will be "Angels and Demons," an original piece by TeddyLoid that combines two iconic songs from the first installment: "Fly Away" and "Theme for Scanty & Knee Socks." The single will also include an extended version of the opening theme and the instrumental tracks for both main songs.

A production reuniting the original team

The new project, titled New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT, is scheduled for release in July 2025 and will once again be directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi at TRIGGER studio. Imaishi and Hiromi Wakabayashi are in charge of series composition, while the character designs are by Shigeto Koyama, SUSHiO, and Masaru Sakamoto, based on the original designs by Atsushi Nishigori.
