The
publisher Hakusensha has confirmed that the manga Maō
no Musume wa Yasashi Sugiru!! (The Demon King's Daughter Is Too
Kind), created by Yūya Sakamoto, will be adapted into an anime with
a premiere scheduled for 2026. The official website has already
released a promotional video that teases the comedic and
endearing tone of the series, as well as revealing the main cast and production
team.
A
production with recognized names in anime comedy
The series
will be directed by Masahiko Ōta at the EMT Squared studio,
with Takashi Aoshima in charge of the script. This duo has
worked together on popular comedies such as Minami-ke, Yuruyuri,
and Gabriel DropOut. The character design is by Yūki Nakano,
while the music will be composed by Yasuhiro Misawa.
As for the
voice cast, the following stand out:
- Misaki Kuno as Doux, the
tender protagonist.
- Ayaka Ōhashi as Jahi, the
Demon King's loyal follower.
- Akio Ōtsuka as Ahriman,
the legendary demon and father of Doux.
In
addition, veteran Shigeru Chiba will be the narrator of the
anime.
An
adorable comedy about evil... and tenderness
The story
follows Doux, the sweet daughter of the ancient and feared Demon
King Ahriman, who left behind her life of conquest to devote herself to
raising her daughter. Although both Ahriman and his subordinate Jahi try
to teach Doux how to be a true evil demon, their kind heart ends up conquering
demons, monsters and humans alike.
A manga
that gains popularity
The work
was originally published in Manga Park in May 2019 and
currently continues on the Young Animal Web site. The manga's
sixth compilation volume will be released on June 27,
while the fifth volume was published in August 2024.
With a
story that mixes the supernatural with family humor, this adaptation promises
to become one of the most anticipated comedies on the 2026 anime
calendar.
